Frequently asked questions
Which audio formats are supported?
WAV, M4A, AAC, FLAC, and Ogg files can be converted to MP3.
Does choosing 320kbps make the audio sound better than the original?
No. A higher output bitrate does not add quality that the original never had. The quality may change during re-encoding.
Are album art and tags copied?
No. Only the first audio track is used; album art and original metadata are not copied into the output.
Can a file under 100 MiB still fail?
Yes. Files that are corrupted or structured differently from the supported format contract can be rejected during pre-conversion validation, even within the size limit.
Where is my audio file processed?
Your file is never uploaded anywhere — it is processed inside your browser. A media engine (about 32MB) is downloaded once on first use and cached afterwards.
