Which formats can I convert?

Images: JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, HEIC, and SVG conversion, PNG-to-SVG tracing, and APNG ↔ GIF. Video: MOV, MP4, WebM, MKV, and AVI to MP4, WebM, or GIF. Audio: M4A, MP3, WAV, and OGG output. Documents: images and text to PDF, PDF to images, text, Word, or EPUB, and DOCX or EPUB to PDF. Subtitles: SRT ↔ VTT. Data: CSV, JSON, YAML, XML, and XLSX conversion plus ZIP and TAR.GZ archives.

Is there a file size limit?

Images up to 25 MiB per file; video and audio up to 100 MiB per file; documents such as PDFs plus Excel and archive files up to 50 MiB per file; subtitle and data files up to 20 MiB per file. Large files can take longer to convert depending on your device.

Why does the first media conversion take a moment?

Video and audio conversion downloads a media engine (about 32 MB) once. After that it starts instantly from the browser cache. MOV to MP4 starts right away without the engine download when your browser supports WebCodecs.

Which browsers are supported?

Recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari, on both desktop and mobile. Conversion speed depends on your device's performance.

Can I convert multiple files at once?

Yes. The queue on the home page holds up to 10 files, converts them in order, and lets you download the finished results as a single ZIP.

Does BaroConvert upload my files to a server?

No. Every conversion runs inside your browser. Files never leave your device, and we can't see their names or contents.
